First time with Oatmeal

On Saturday May 29th, we gave Josephine her first solid food. Baby Oatmeal. She LOVED it! She is also quite the natural at it as well. She figured out the concept of spoon in mouth, then swallow! What a smart girl we have!

Grandma came this weekend!

This weekend grandma came to see her Josephine. As always they had a great time together! She is getting to be such a big girl. She loved using her jumper this weekend. Grandma also got to help with bath time, which Jo really loves!

Random Baby

So this is the newest member to the Josephine favorites. THis is her Elephant that has a crinkle sounding tummy. She loves it!

Also, for some reason, she always hates tummy time but just the other day she started lifting her self up high! Out of nowhere! Crazy girl

So we have finally found a new way to do naps that work, tummy sleeping. Due to her reflux I think this is the best way during the day. Nights she is still being swaddled.

DH 209 Meet and Greet

On Tuesday May 25th, Kevin had his DH 209 Class meet and greet at Brick Ally Pub in downtown Newport. Josephine got all dressed off to be showed off by her daddy. She was the hit of the party. She wasn't very happy at first, but then she got over it.

Dinner with Friends

After Kevin came home we decided that weekend to have people over for dinner. Katie and Tessa came and so did our friend Anthony On May 23rd! Tessa was acting all shy around Kevin (which I found to be super cute)

Josephine is still too little to play with her barn, but she loves watching Tessa play!

Also she rolled over from her back to her front for the first time!!

Daddy's Home!

On March 6th Daddy had to leave us to go down to Dahlgren for Aegis Training/BMD Training. He was gone till May 21st. TOOOOOO LOOOOONNNNGGGG!

Graduation Party

On May 15th, we went to Fort Adams for a friend of ours Graduation. So I dressed her up in the cutest little dress that we got from Kevin's sponsor family (from when he went to USNA)

She was so happy when we got home (more from the lack of sleep)

First Family Park trip in Dahlgren

On one of our last days there, we got to go as a family and take her to the park together! She had a great time!

Let me tell you that there was nothing there to do! Everyday we would go for a walk to the NEX to the point that they knew who we were! We are just glad that we got to go and see Kevin.

Annapolis Trip

Yes this was weeks ago and I have been meaning to show pictures of our trip to go see Kevin, so here they are!

First Flight

I know I'm late, but on April 23rd we flew down to Washington Reagan Airport, where Kevin picked us up and we spent 9 days with him. This was Josephine's first flight and this is what she looked like waiting on our plane to get to us!

She did amazing on the flight. She fell asleep before we took off and didn't wake up till we landed and were there. She did greet daddy with a scream when he went to pick her up! Also decided she had enough traveling and cried most of the drive down there!

Bath Time

Yesterday we decided that Daddy should get on Skype and help entertain Josephine during her bath. So after we got out, she was watching him on the screen and making faces. This is the classic one we got while Daddy was making fun of her hair (Mommy thought this looked awesome)

Raz Berry Teether

So after dinner tonight at Katie's and Tessa's, I needed to run to CVS to get generic tylenol to make sure I had some on had in case I ever needed it in the coming nights. While there I saw this teether and thought maybe little J could figure it out soon how to use it.

Floor Time

Today we put our the blanket and my boppy pillow and enjoyed some more tummy time on the floor. This has been the hardest part, since after a couple minutes she usually gets angry with me. But today, we used Thumper as encouragement, and I even got a smile!

Aladdin

We enjoyed our floor time last week by watching Aladdin! She really loved the music!

Play Date

Last week, Josephine and I went over to have dinner with Katie and Tessa, since her Daddy is gone right now too. Tessa liked pointing out body parts on Josephine and Doey (Joey as Tessa says) was just cooing and getting so excited by Tessa.

First Mother's Day

I had a pretty good day! Josephine and I just hung out at home and just enjoyed each other's company. Kevin was amazing and sent me flowers to let me know he cares and is sad he missed it.
