Happy Father's Day

Happy First Father's Day!!

This year we were lucky that Daddy was home to spend his Father's Day with his "buba" Girl.

She was very happy to hang out with her Lion as well.

After she hung out with her daddy, we got to do a little of our floor time. I love how her hands are behind her head. She is just relaxing!

For a snack we ended up having some chips and salsa. Josephine could not keep her eyes off Kevin every time he put the chip in his mouth. She loved the sound of the crunching.

Overall it was a GREAT Father's Day!!!

Wooden Letters

So this week's project, or should I say MAIN project is Josephine's wooden letters! I'm so happy with how they have come out. I only have to gloss them and then hang them. It's going to look so amazing and girly. As for our other side projects, I have officially finished our new summer looking bedroom and cleaned out the closet and drawers. Next thing to tackle is the hall closets. I love accomplishing things! 

The Swaddle is gone!!

For once there is no picture since she is sleeping and I don't want to chance waking her up. We have officially said goodbye to her swaddle. No word yet on how she likes it. She did nap much better without it. The thing that makes me nervous (just a tiny bit) is that she likes to now roll to her tummy to sleep. So right now, she has fallen asleep on her tummy. She can roll either way so I need to just relax. Breathe in Breathe out, and repeat...

Josephine and Tessa Time

Ahhh. Our day began with a nice walk all over housing to let Tessa play on the playgrounds. While Tessa played, Josephine took this opportunity to take a nice nap.

After Dinner, tonight she tried peaches, we put her in her walker so she could move herself all around Katie's kitchen and dinning room since it has tile. She had a great time.

Then before we knew it, Tessa went over to help Josephine learn how to play with her toys on the walker! What a big girl Tessa is!

Then the fun begins, when Tessa realizes she can push Josephine around in her walker! Josephine had such a great time. She was one happy baby!

They really are the best of buds!!!

Nectarines!!

Josephine has officially had her first taste of a fruit (a fresh one, not the purees) and she LOVED IT!! I just can't believe how big my little rugrat is getting! Today I gave her a little bit of a mashed banana and that was a big hit as well... Wonder what I'll try next?

Josephine's First trip to the Zoo

Josephine and I got to go to Roger Williams Zoo today with Katie and Tessa. It was Josephine's first time and she had a blast! I can't wait to take her there again

Elephants!!

They are always so cute together!! Josephine is always curious at what Tessa is doing, and Tessa likes saying BABY and entertaining her!

We had to go and see the Penguins while we were there. Tessa was ready to walk around like a big girl, and Josephine was excited to be out of the stroller for a bit

Family Time

So this evening we were lucky enough to have Katie and Tessa over for dinner tonight. We had heart attack on a pizza, also knows as Macaroni and Cheese Pizza with Bacon!! It was amazing. After just one slice though we were pretty full. After dinner we let the girls have a great time playing on the floor!! Josephine even showed Tessa how to sit and get our nails cut.

I really love this photo, what you don't see is that Josephine is petting Bailey on the neck. She can pull all the hair she wants off Bailey and the dog just sits there and takes it! What a good dog!

So after everyone left, we decided that Josephine had a pretty good day and thought she would love to take a bubble bath with Kevin and play in the water! She LOVED IT! All she wanted to do was kick and splash, it was so much fun to watch her! Kevin only allowed this photo since it's on our blog, and not facebook!

I really love these father daughter moments that they have together! It's something wonderful to watch! Dad was such a good sport taking a lavender bubble bath with Josephine! What a SUPER dad!

Comfort in Daddy

So while mean ol mommy had to take Josephine to the doctors and hold her arms down to get her shots, she got to spend that afternoon in Daddy's arms. Enter her hero! <3 But like you read, she got both of us back that evening!

4-Month Shots

She has had her 4 month old appointment and shots. She is growing up so fast! I can't believe it. The Dr was very impressed with her growth and says she is doing amazing. I couldn't be happier. She is 13 lbs 12 ozs and is 25 inches long and her head is 15 3/4 in circumference. 

This was her waiting on the corpsmen to come in and give her her shots. NO BUENO. She was so angry with mommy after this. The best part though (and yes there is a best part of getting shots) is when she was screaming non stop, and then she stopped, turned her head toward the guys and just pouted. They felt horrible. She is working her looks already.

She was EXHAUSTED by the time we got home. Took a nice nap and seemed to be doing amazing. Then all of a sudden at 6 pm. She started screaming and screaming and it took a few hours for her to stop. It was one of the toughest moments as parents we have had to deal with. Thank goodness she is doing much better today. I'm just glad her legs don't seem to be bothering her so much today.

The Pout

So on Wednesday we went with Katie to Old Navy and we discovered she could make this face. I guess we were taking to long and she started pouting. But now, she makes this face all the time! HILARIOUS! Keep in mind this is the face she made to the corpsmen after they gave her her shots.

The same day, we all sat down as a family and watched the GLEE finale together. She loved the Journey tribute!! She just kept moving her arms, kicking her legs, it was so cute!

Josephine's First Laptop

YES!! You did read that right. While shopping the other day at the NEX, we came across this baby laptop and of course Kevin needed this for his daughter! She is going to be a technology baby! She doesn't have a choice.

So after dinner tonight, as a family, we all went in to the living room and had floor time with Josephine! She loved every minute of it. From playing with the laptop with Daddy, to dancing with Mommy, rolling from her tummy to back and trying to scoot when she was on her tummy! Then we sang a few songs from Glee and then put her to bed! What an exhausting evening!

Josephine's First Cold

So we are pretty sure Josephine is experiencing her first cold. She has a very runny nose and  overall she just seems unwell. All she wants to do is cuddle and cry. It's like a light switch. One minute she was happy to see Kevin, then she just screams at me. :( Poor Little one.

Long Sunday

As our weekend comes to an end, we have gotten little sleep. Poor Josephine has decided she doesn't want to sleep at night. So today we decided we had enough and went to Babies R Us to get her summer swaddles in hope that maybe her other ones were making her hot and were too small in the length. While there we found the "Bear's Walker" that she had loved so much the night before at Kaiden's. I had a 20% off and thought why not!

So she may not look thrilled in this photo, but her face lit up when she saw it. I put her in and was able to make dinner while Daddy was studying! She got something nice so here's to hoping I wore her out enough to sleep better!

BBQ at the Witte-hunts

So finally Melissa and Kevin were able to bring their newest baby Kaitlyn home from the hospital in Jersey (sadly I have no photos of her). They had a welcome home BBQ for it and we got to come over and let Josephine play with Kaiden and use all his cool toys. Enjoy!!

Rough nights

So for the past few days, Josephine has decided she doesn't want to sleep through the night anymore. After going shopping on Friday, I came home to her still screaming at Kevin so we brought her down and she got some quiet time on the floor with Elephant. Then finally went to bed...

Like Father Like Daughter

Daddy came home for lunch today and spent some of his time playing with Josephine. I love how they matched today!! The only problem was... I couldn't see them! :)

While she does her floor time, Bailey is always close by. It's like she treats Josephine as her puppy. When Josephine crys, Bailey is always right there to make sure she is okay.

Memorial Day

So on mommy's get to sleep in day, she decided to get up at 5am for Kevin (Which wasn't going to happen) so I still got up with her, I just got to take a nap later!  We decided to dress her up in her Cleveland Indians gear (since it is also red white and blue) to go with her awesome socks that I got her.
