Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!! Today we decided to get all into the holiday and got all dressed up (well Jo and I did, Kevin did not) We were bugs. Josephine looked super cute in her bumble bee costume and I went as a Lady bug. During the afternoon all we did was take her to Starbucks to show her off (She was the only one dressed up at this time)

Then after her last nap we got her all dressed up and I got into my lady bug costume and we headed out to visit a few people. First we stopped at Todd and Jane Baier's house. Jane had bought Josephine a special Bumble Bee rattle toy knowing she was coming over.
Then we headed over to the Raunig's house to spend a few hours with them! It was both Ziggy's and Josephine's first halloween. They had a few trick or treaters at Fort Adams, but not that many. We had a great time catching up with great friends!
Here is a photo of friends, who met almost 11 years ago, when they both went to the Naval Academy and each other's babies. Hard to believe that Josephine and Ziggy could follow in their parents footsteps and be graduates of the USNA 2032!

The Pumpkin Patch

I decided that I would go back and show a few things from earlier this month. After we got home from our trip to Ohio, we started right away getting ready for Josephine's first Halloween! WooHoo right? So what better way then taking her to the Pumpkin Patch and to pick her first pumpkin!

9 Month Dr Appt

So yes... yes you read that right. Josephine really is 9 months old!! It is so so hard to believe for me too. She has been alive and in the world longer than she was inside me! AHHH! I can't believe it
Alright the doctors office- She is doing amazing. Our appointment was on the 21st. We got the green light to just go crazy and experiment with new foods that she could enjoy (that night we gave her scrambled eggs and it was a hit) Her stats are as follows: She is now 17.4 lbs and is 27.5 inches long! She is getting to be such a big girl. She is extremely healthy! She also got her first series of the flu shot and took that like a champ. She was so upset and distracted from us having to lay her down, that the corpsman just pulled her pants down, gave her the shot, put her pants back up and she was able to sit up then. As soon as she could sit, she stopped crying and was done. My little champ!

The bad news of that day and weekend to follow is Jo got really sick (DR thinks a mild croup) and Kevin and I also got really sick. We did not do anything all weekend at all. (we are all doing great now)

July and so on....

So after writing about the remainder of June's events I realize it will take me WAY TO LONG to write all that information for the rest of the months. So.... I'm not going to do it :) I'm the author and I realized I could make that decision! So sorry if you were looking for a play by play... I will end with at least one photo at the beginning you see. This is when Jenny and her two beautiful girls with Krystle came to see us in Rhode Island! (The photo is minus Lily cause she just would not cooperate for a photo) It was amazing. We had the greatest time and even during that we were talking about our next trip!!

Again Thank you for following me. Just check out my facebook page for anything else you missed, if you even did! I love all you for following me cause it really is all about Josephine!

Thank you again, and Good Night!

June Events

Happy Birthday Mommy!!
For the most part, June was just a relaxing month before the busy events of July!! I did get for my birthday an amazing, beyond amazing camera! I got a Canon DSLR! So that is why, if you follow me on facebook, I have a HUGE collection of photos of Josephine!
This was the first real "Photo Session" that i did with Josephine and Bailey. It is still one of my favorite photos of both of them. Jo wanted to hold her paw, and shortly after this Bails was giving kisses.
So I finally got Josephine's room finished with painting her letters! I loved doing it and after I was doing with that I used the same paint to paint her a few frames in her room!

Below: We also had to get some family photos put together for Kevin's Grandpa's birthday book so we were able to get a nice photo of our family! Josephine was 5 months old in this photo! So hard to believe!

I'm back.. For real!

So to any of you who actually still follow me, even though the last post was June 20th Fathers Day... YAY! I'm really sorry I have not been on here, between following a mobile Josephine, doing swim classes once a week, keeping up with all the NOSC business, trying to squeeze in friend time and get ready for a move, you get the picture!

Like I said in the last post. We are getting ready for our big move and for Kevin to return back to his sea life. I'm looking forward to the part that I'm moving to a place I have lived before (but did not explore it to its full potential) and I am SUPER excited to be moving near Katie and Tessa again (And of course Chris, but he is deployed for the moment). The past 5 months have not been what they were when those 3 were still up here. Funny story for those of you who don't know. We were all actually in Monterey together but didn't really hang out. I had met Katie once and that was it, but luckily, we became closer friends here. So for those family and friends that are nervous for me and Jo when Kevin leaves on deployment. Don't be. We will have The Gahls close by!

Whew... enough on the sappy stuff. (Can't you tell I'm missing everyone) onto what this blog is all about.... Josephine! WOW she has changed so much since my last real post that it's hard to remember all of it. So I'm thinking that I will list a few and then go back and do months :) That way you can hear all about what went on and what we missed.

Josephine now has 2 teeth. The first one came on Greg's birthday! By the time mid August when Katie came to visit she first started clapping. Sometime in September we started Crawling. We have now refused baby food for the most part and are eating regular food like mommy and daddy. We love scrambled eggs and cinnamon applesauce. She is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING and is just learning to cruise. She gets really excited and proud of herself and just starts clapping and clapping! Recently we have been putting on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, ETC and she gets the biggest smile ever when she sees Mickey (once I learn to post videos, I will show you all)

So I guess I must go back to June to see what we missed! Thanks for still following me!
